At the Center for Latino Progress (CLP), we are passionate about fostering holistic support for individuals and families in our community through our Community Wrap-Around Concept.
Our proactive approach tackles the unique challenges faced by the Latino community in the Greater Hartford Area. By integrating services and fostering active community engagement, CLP creates a nurturing environment where individuals and families can pursue their dreams and unlock their full potential. We achieve this by offering:
- Culturally Competent Support: We offer personalized services that honor and respect the rich cultural backgrounds of our community members, ensuring inclusive care that truly meets their needs.
- Job Readiness Workshops: Our culturally aware workshops equip individuals with essential job market skills, including resume writing, interview techniques, and professional networking, setting them up for success.
- Financial Literacy: We provide valuable resources and workshops on budgeting, saving, and financial planning, tailored to the unique needs of participants, helping to enhance their economic stability.
- Health and Wellness: We connect individuals with culturally sensitive health services, mental health support, and wellness programs that promote overall well-being and resilience.
- Computer Lab Access: Our on-site computer lab offers community members access to digital resources, empowering them to enhance their skills, search for jobs, and complete educational or professional tasks in a supportive environment.

Helping youth and adults in the community for over 45 years.
As a senior at Central Connecticut State University majoring in Strategic Communications with a focus in Public Relations. My journey with the Center for Latino Progress started nearly six years ago as an intern, where I attended career competency workshops that helped me uncover my interests, strengths, and develop leadership and communication skills. Inspired by these experiences, I’ve grown a deep passion for community engagement, viewing the Center not only as a program but as a family that has profoundly influenced my personal and professional development.
